Superheroes
Through all the pain and all the glories.
But sometimes Superheroes enter our lives, People, often strangers, who help us survive.
I want to thank the fire fighters,
Superheroes all around,
Who fought the towering flames to save my town.
Through suffocating smoke and blinding heat, You saved our homes.
Without you we’d be living in the street.
Superheroes one and all.
I want to thank the doctors and nurses, Superheroes every one.
You put yourself out on the line
And saved my family.
The many times we came close to the end, Doctors and nurses healed us again.
My family survives because of you. Superheroes one and all.
We’re all heroes of our own stories,
Through all the pain and all the glories.
But sometimes Superheroes enter our lives, People, often strangers, who help us survive.
I want to thank the teachers.
Superheroes every one.
You taught me how to think
When I pushed you to the brink.
You taught me how to observe and reason, To understand traditions and fulfill my ambitions.
Teachers, Superheroes, one and all.
When I stop and think about it,
There are superheroes all around
who make sure that we’re okay.
Strangers who lend a hand
When life is more than I can stand.
Superheroes every day.
We’re all heroes of our own stories,
Through all the pain and all the glories.
But sometimes Superheroes enter our lives, People, often strangers, who help us survive.
(Repeat chorus)
