The Good Fight
Sipping wine.
Life seems so fine.
I’ve put in my time,
Fighting for what’s right.
I fought the good fight.
I fought for my country
And marched for peace.
I’ve seen children go hungry
And gave them food to eat.
I saw prejudice.
So I marched for equal rights.
Wherever I saw hate,
I answered with love and light.
Now I’m chilling on the deck,
Sipping wine.
Life seems so fine.
I’ve put in my time,
Fighting for what’s right.
I fought the good fight.
Now my friends are talking
About extinction,
Solutions for pollution,
Paying attention in every election.
Looks like I must leave again
To do what’s right.
These times are calling me back.
Chilling on the deck,
Sipping wine.
Life seems so fine.
We’ve put in our time,
Fighting for what’s right.
We’ll fight the good fight.
We’ll fight the good fight. (Repeat)
